On June 26, 2003, "smart forfour day" in Zurich,
more than just the original was presented to the international press.
The Busch 1:87-scale model had been produced at the same time as the
real car so the first models could be given to the press during the
presentation of the full-size model. The new Busch model of the forfour
captivates the viewer with its fine lines and typical smart color offset
by the contrasting Tridion. The taillights are as beautifully detailed
as the realistic headlights. On each side, three tiny lenses are separately
inserted into the flat black panels. In addition, the four door handles
on the model are separate pieces, produced in flat black like the windshield
wipers. The accurately reproduced multi-part interior allows the model
to have colors faithful to the original. The miniature vehicle gets
an extra boost from the fine printing of the glass roof, window columns,
logos and the high center-mounted brake light. The elaborately painted
four-spoke rims lend a special sporty note to the model. [posted 07/11/2003] |
