We are very pleased to announce the 1/87 Vehicle Club 2018 Midwest Meet will be held in Collinsville, Illinois (St. Louis, Missouri metro area) July 20-21, 2018. We will be collaborating with the Railroad Prototype Modelers (RPM) group who organizes this show. While primarily a show for serious railroad modelers, there has historically been a strong contingent of very high quality 1/87 vehicle models on display such as Mike Budde's outstanding auto rack loads shown here. We have elected to capitalize on this presence and hold our first meet in Collinsville this July and hope to make this an annual event. We have secured commitments from several 1/87 vehicle model manufacturers and vendors to appear at this show. Already confirmed are Lonestar Models, Custom Finishing Models, Zycon Models, and Masterbilt Models; tentatively, River Point Station will also have a presence. For this initial appearance we have been allocated an extremely limited model display area. Regrettably, the club's participation in this event must be restricted on an invitation only basis. However, we will set up a registration page to submit your interest in attending the show. After we have collected registrations and can gauge interest we will send invitations with display space allocations to interested participants with details.
