Promoting Excellence in HO Scale Vehicle Modeling

2005 iHobby Expo Update

The 2005 iHobby Expo was held in Los Angeles October 20-23, 2005 and had a few surprises for 1/87 scale vehicles modelers. One of the most surprising was the arrival of samples of Classic Mint's upcoming individual brass Peterbilt 379 four axle truck tractors (black painted sample above) and three axle Unibilt sleeper version with high roof cab 379 (bronze painted sample in foreground above).

Other new models on display were new automobiles from Ricko, Volvo construction equipment from Motorart, new flatbed trailer and additional paint schemes from Classic Metal Works, new intermodal containers from Intermountain, First Gear's IH TD-25 bulldozer (shown above), Lonestar Models' recently released auto carrier, brass models of articulated off-road dump trucks from Classic Mint Collectibles in John Deere, Hitachi, and Bell Equipment paint schemes, and Case construction equipment from Norscot. We'll gather additional photos with expanded information and post it soon. For now, check club member Harry Wong's photo collection from the show at: www.pbase.com/tracktime/ihobby2005&page=1
