Very Special Thanks To Hank Suderman For Permission
To Use Many Of These Photos!
After a lot of thought and planning, Peter Mullin
and Bob Johnson have put together our 2003 Heavy Truck
Survey. Many possible truck model candidates were considered
and what we have put together for your consideration is a collection
of trucks (only some of which are shown above) that we consider to
be prime candidates for mass production in injection molded plastic.
We've included photos on the survey form of every single nominee except
one to assist those of us who don't know or remember what each and
every truck ever built looks like! We'd like to give a very special
thanks and note of gratitude to Hank Suderman of Hank's
Web Site for allowing us to use many photos from his site's collection
of great historical truck photos! We'd never have been able to bring
you all these photos without Hank's gracious assistance!
Remember, the goal of our survey is to get one or more
of these trucks into mass production as either kits or assembled models.
A few of these have been offered before as limited production pieces
in resin or other media. While these are not the only trucks we feel
are badly needed in 1/87 scale we feel these are the ones with the
highest probability of commercial success which is, after all, the
only means of getting more new models! If you have any interest in
1/87 scale trucks we hope you'll review our survey candidates and after
careful consideration, take the time to vote for your favorites. Our
survey will run through September1, 2003. To see all the candidates and vote, go to our 2003
Truck Survey page. [posted 08/15/2003]
