Promoting Excellence in HO Scale Vehicle Modeling

German WWII Ford V3000 Fuel Tanker Truck - By Rick Hoskinson

Rick Hoskinson used three Classic Metal Works models and one ADP Ford V3000 3 ton truck to create this model. Two '41-'46 Chevy single axle fuel tankers were cut apart and turned end to end and a dual axle '41-'46 Chevy reefer was used for the chassis. The ADP cab, front, fenders and hood were all that was required for the rest of the conversion. The remainder came from the spares box, the usual detail suppliers, or was scratchbuilt from sheet or strip styrene. The paint is Model Masters Panzer Gray and decals are from TL for the number plates. The fighter plane in the background of the bottom photo is a CMK resin kit of a FW190D.
