1912 Sentinel Coal Truck - By Randy Sawyer

Built in Febuary of 2006, this model of a 1912 Sentinel coal truck is almost completely scratchbuilt. The model is based on an illustration found in the book, "Trucks - An Illustrated History 1896-1920". The model is constructed from styrene, brass, and scale lumber and painted with Humbrol enamels. The front wheels are modified Snapperoo Traction Engine wheels and the back wheels are built up with the spokes from a Jordan Fordson Tractor and plastic tubing. The model features a load of genuine coal with driver and passenger figures by Preiser.
