Most of this month's New Products news comes from Spielwarenmesse, The International Toy Fair, in Nuremberg, Germany. Many thanks to our "man on the ground," Marc Schmidt for his up-to-the-minute reporting from Nuremberg!

adp introduced the 1939 BMW 321 as a two-door sedan as well as the GDR's 1945 Awtowelo-BMW 321. A North-American Ford 1.5 ton truck will be produced as well as a huge Russian Kirowe K700 A tractor. Other new items are a Chevrolet beverage truck and a 1941 Chevrolet 1.5 ton truck. The Steyr 480 will be made with the Austrian market in mind; the EMW 340 wagon makes a career as an ambulance.

Brekina Vintage International Farm Tractor

Brekina, in addition to the spring releases that had been announced a week ago, displayed samples of an upcoming Ford FK3500 light truck, a beautiful two-tone Ford "Knudsen"-Taunus with black vinyl-roof, and a Borgward B655 (COE) stake-truck. These should be out in summer.

40002 Benz Patent Motorcar “Bertha Benz on her way to the pharmacy”
The 1886 Benz Patent-Motorcar in large presentation box with old town paving printed on the base and four-color printing on the rear wall. The figure beside the vehicle represents Bertha Benz who bought a bottle of petroleum in the pharmacy for the car. On the right side of this scene stands an advertising pillar with contemporary advertising posters stands. The diorama is packed in the Busch outer carton. (Note: Bertha Benz was the wife of Carl Benz, who is generally considered the father of the modern automobile. Mrs. Benz was a tireless promoter of her husband’s invention and would often drive the Benz car for publicity.)

Nostalgic delivery van with elaborate printing of the "Sinalco" design commemorating the 100th anniversary of the manufacturer of the popular European citrus drink. In addition, a beverage case with bottles is included in each package.

The model is weathered and covered with slogans applied as superfine printing on the matte finish. Even the bumpers and grille show rust. The model is equipped with a roof rack and an advertising sign with a shark fin.

43000 Toyota Land Cruiser J40 with Hardtop
The models will be initially offered in the following three colors: Freeborn Red, Nebula Green and Sand Yellow.

43251 Fiat Ducato “KiGa Mobil”
Special vehicle used by the traffic safety authority in Niesky for training kindergarten children about traffic rules.

43418 Cadillac´52 Sedan “Crazy Cars”
Pale blue Caddy with blue-tinted windows and color-coordinated interior has the flame pattern printing design from the collector’s series of "Crazy Cars". Each white flame also has a razor-thin silver edge.

44006 Dodge Power Wagon “Farm Truck”
"Old" best describes this Dodge. The gray-green matte-finished model has a "replaced" door on the passenger side and one completely "repaired" hood, even a wheel rim has been "exchanged". The remainder of the gray-green body shows lots of wear and tear. The wood stake box has several super-delicate corn plants, which were manufactured with finest injection molding technology available. Another original accessory is a detailed scarecrow, which is attached to each model.

44500 American GM TDH-5301 Bus “Fishbowl”, green
44501 American GM TDH-5301 Bus “Fishbowl”, red
This highly detailed bus model is based on the GM TDH-5301. The three-part body will permit many interesting variations. The original version was introduced in the 50's and is still in use today at Niagara Falls, among other places.

44502 American GM TDH-5301 Bus “RTD” Los Angeles Route 35
In 1958, the Los Angeles Metropolitan Transit Authority was formed. In 1963, it was reorganized as the Southern California Rapid Transit District (SCRTD). Thirty years later, the agency was renamed the Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority. The "Fishbowl" bus was in service in the Los Angeles area until 1990. Don’t miss the first model in this special collector’s edition.

44653 Dodge Ram Van “Fire Safety Education”
The prototype was a special vehicle used by the fire fighting and safety training department of the New York City Fire Department. The model is printed in a Dalmatian style and has fine printing of FDNY markings on the driver and passenger sides as well as a Dalmatian over the fenders.

German Border Police trailer with mint-green canvas cover.

45014 Chevrolet Bel Air “Crazy Cars”
A "royal toy" in Turkish Blue with air scoop. Besides the fine color printing, this model from the "Crazy Cars" collector’s series comes with gold-plated 5-spoke wheels.

French postal service delivery vehicle in bottle green.

46809 Mercedes-Benz W123 “Pfungstadt Fire Brigade”
As a "discontinued police vehicle" the city of Pfungstadt could buy this model in fire brigade red until 1985. On August 23, 1985, the 240-series Diesel with 72 HP was certified for use. The vehicle has the standard equipment used by a supervisor and was assigned to the city fire inspector.

47200 Renault R312 Bus “Paris” 12th Version
Collector Series: Paris city buses of various lines. For 2005, Busch presents Line 133 “Le Bourget”. To date, the following models have been produced and are sold out through version 11.

Of course, the steel roll cage is reproduced in detail for the miniature vehicle. The models of this collector’s series are packed in a special hard box with special insert.

47626 Chevrolet Caprice “Honolulu Police”
Model of a vehicle used by the Honolulu police, Hawaii’s largest law enforcement agency. Since Hawaii, the last state admitted to the United States, does not have a state police force, this car is being used for the final model of the U.S. State Police Collector Series. The model is supplied in the standard passenger car hard box.

47691 Chevrolet Caprice “North Carolina Highway Patrol”
No. 46 in the limited-edition U.S. State Police collector series. The North Carolina Highway Patrol was formed in 1929.

47692 Chevrolet Caprice “Washington State Patrol”
No. 48 in the limited-edition U.S. State Police collector series. The agency was first created in 1921 as the Washington State Highway Patrol. In 1933, it was reorganized as the Washington State Patrol.

White emergency vehicle with fluorescent red graphics used by the fire brigade emergency physician in Dinslaken.

48533 Mercedes-Benz M-Class “Facelift” “Malteser Emergency Doctor”
Special vehicle used by an emergency doctor with the Malteser aid service. The white vehicle has a fluorescent red beltline stripe and chromed warning horns mounted on the blue light bar. In addition, the names of the sponsors appear on the rear side windows in superfine printing.

48940 Smart Fortwo “Conny´s Party Service”
Elaborately printed model decorated for the party services of the Hotel Forstmeister in Schönheide/Erzgebirge. The model is printed on all sides with the delicious fruits and vegetables they make available for each event.

The original Coupé with paint spatters is the "company car" of a master painter from the new Lands of the Federal Republic.

The all-white Smart and trailer with delicate trailer coupling are printed with hearts all over. A "sweet" collector’s item, the package includes an additional heart charm.

Extravagant Coupé with chromed bush bar and wheels. This black-lacquered model has the characteristic Fulda flat black tread mark, which extends from the front to the rear of the vehicle. Although the difference in color is minimal, the tread mark can be easily seen.

Mercedes emergency vehicle of the Speyer fire brigade. The white model with the distinctive red/yellow printing is supplied in a presentation box printed on the base and rear wall. Strictly limited to 750 serial-numbered pieces, the rear wall of the case is reverse-printed with a scene showing the Speyer cathedral. A figure of a nun with a very delicately formed scale bicycle stands in front of the cathedral, admiring the vehicle.

These highly detailed models are perfect reproductions of the mid-size cars from Ingolstädt. Deep lacquer finishes, delicate separate parts and superfine chrome-plating join to form a totally prototypical effect, which captivate the viewer with the following noteworthy details:

2. Very bright headlights with prototypical three-lamp optics and separately applied taillights.
3. Fine chrome-plating for radiator and oil cooler surrounds, Audi rings and fog lights on the front and the exhaust pipe tips at the rear of the model. In addition, the reflecting surfaces of the exterior and interior rearview mirrors are chrome-plated.

49805 Mercedes-Benz M-Class "CMD Collection" NEW MODEL
Brand-new model from the DaimlerChrysler vehicle collection. Compared to the previous version, the new M-Class presents a more dynamic look. The swept-up rear treatment and more tapered front reflect a more adventuresome design. In addition, the larger radiator grille gives the new M-Class a more sporting appearance. The following details are especially noteworthy:

High Tech Modell has announced four new models to debut at Toy Fair. Shown above is a Porsche 906 racing car, Porsche 917PA Can-AM racing car, '29 Ford hot rod, and roadside diner.

Kibri's Wirtgen pavment cold-planer announced at last year's Toy Fair is now available in North America from Truck Stop Models and Zycon Models.

~~Le Mans Miniatures~~ ~~announced a 1972 Formula-1 racer, the Tyrell 003 (shown above).~~

Mo-Miniatur will expand their line of tractors:

- 1960s' Eicher Wotan farm tractor
- Deutz EKL 11hp farm tractor
- Schlüter 2000 farm tractor
- 1965 Stalinez tracked tractor

Mo-Moniatur will introduce resin-cast Mercedes G- and M-class models, the former with both short and long wheel-base.

Motorart had brought a number of samples to Nuremberg. Final models are due in late summer.

NZG Liebherr A900ZW

NZG displayed a Fuchs 301 excavator and a Liebherr A900ZW road/rail mobile excavator (see photo above). The Liebherr sample looks extremely promising.

Saller will produce three variations of the 1931 DKW F1 roadster and convertible and the trailers from last year's Lanz set as stand-alone items.

HighSpeed/Schuco/Model Power 1969 Chevrolet Camaro SS

Schuco just brought the Highspeed cars to Nuremberg which had been announced by Model Power earlier. They did not introduce any tooling of their own - perhaps in summer or fall.

Rietze had hinted at two upcoming models by car maker S...., which turned out to be Suzuki. The fist model will be the brand-new Swift while the second will be an SUV to be introduced at the Frankfurt Auto Show in September.

Wiking's press kit makes mention of a new Metz aerial ladder, which was not on display in Nuremberg. The upcoming Audi Q7 SUV was not denied (they were not allowed to confirm it).
