Le Mans Miniatures has confirmed production of the PANOZ LMP-1 Le Mans (shown above) 1999 and 2000 in 1/87 scale. They are planned for May-August, 2001. Sheepscot Scale Products continues to expand their product line with the announcement of an International Harvester F230D heavy duty truck cab and chassis that was introduced by International in 1959. The prototype featured heavy gauge, angular steel fenders and was contemporary competition for Mack and Autocar models. The kit consists of a solid urethane resin cab with metal frame and details. Walter Siebert Modellbau has announced a new resin kit to build a "Turbolöscher" fire fighting truck [photo above] that replicates a special unit built for BASF that uses two jet engines mounted on the truck to "blow" the fire out with high pressure and a water fog. The chassis is a MAN 18.272 DFAEG three axle.
