This HUGE 1/87 scale mining shovel is a modified Conrad model of a P&H unit as modeled by John Sherry. John tells us, "This is a diecast model that I stripped and rebuilt with new scale brass handrails, plastic stairs and railings. It was then painted with Floquil paints and rigged. It has a cab with interior detail and is appropriately weathered. I completed the project in 1985. Just recently I added the weathering and built the diorama in which it is pictured. The mining trucks are Kibri Terex/O & K models."
