Ray Gesaman sent an e-mail that said, "I stumbled upon your site a
couple of years ago and find it very interesting! The first photo I
had visited
was
Trip
Aikens's
Bluebird
Minibus and
more recently Thomas Lange's Bluebird school bus and Short Bluebird
School bus. Through their inspiration, I have created two buses myself.
I am submitting their photos for your site consideration. I've never
done modeling before and found this quite a challenge...needless to
say my vehicles aren't perfect, but I'm proud of the results. Ray Gesaman."
This model is a Bluebird Microbird. Ray used a Trident
Chevrolet box van, removed the box, cut away the passenger door and
part of the side of the van, then shortened a Herpa Good Shepherd Church
Bus
body,
and attached it to the van. Ray used the four windows behind the
school bus door and also the rear of the bus plus one window forward.
He used styrene strips
to fill in the sides and the roof gap between the van and the bus body.
Ray, we're really glad you were inspired by our web site
to build your first models!! We certainly appreciate you sending
us your photos and are happy to share them with others and perhaps
even inspire others!
