This Ringsby Truck Lines rig from Bob Sundstrom is the '60s vintage model built using an Athearn Freightliner cab cut down to 54 inches (BBC) with single headlights to resemble the period. The truck frame was extended by two feet to accommodate a scratchbuilt dromedary box which added to the payload that many western carriers at the time used. The 36 foot van is also scratchbuilt with the entire rig utilizing parts from A-Line (long fuel tanks, mirrors), Herpa (suspension, premium tandem wheels, Graphics On Demand Ringsby images, various Microscale decals and, of course, lots of Evergreen styrene sheets and pieces.
