Luis May used a Trucks N' Stuff Peterbilt 389 truck tractor and an Athearn 53' Utility reefer trailer to model his fictitious Proud Bird Trucking rig. He added red decal stripes to simulate fuel tank straps on the tractor and swapped the wheels for Boley wheels. The trailer nose mounted reefer unit was replaced with a BLMA Carrier X2 unit. The striping and numbers on the trailer are from A-Line, the license plate is from Microscale, and all other graphics were custom made on Luis' computer, including the lights on the mirrors. Luis tells us, "When I was in high school, I began drawing trucks in HO scale and Proud Bird Trucking was one of my designs. Now, thirty years later, my drawings have become reality!"
