This is a model of the largest grader built in a serial production. Introduced in 1975 by Champion as the T80, it will later become the upgraded T100. Nicknamed "Big Mudder" it was tipping the scales at 92 tons. Width of the blade was 24 ft. It was used in surface mining to clean and maintain the hauler roads. It was powered with a 700 HP Cummins engine. Champion, now belonging to Volvo Construction Equipment, sold the rights of this big rig in 1989. From then, on none were produced again. Günter Storch took a 1:50 grader model (Joal/Spain) as a base, by using the whole front section and the blade. The motor and its cover and cab were made from Evergreen styrene. Ladders and mirrors are by Roco. The big tires are resin castings. Decals are self printed.
