David Flynn modeled this 1964 Mobil street sweeper after an actual sweeper from the Smithtown (NY) highway department. The body, hood, and front fenders are from a 3D print. The cab is sheet plastic and most of the rest is made from spare parts from the parts box. The rear broom was made from a wooden dowel. The hose was made from construction paper soaked with sediment from the paint thinner bottle. The grille is from a brass etching for a box car. At bottom is a photo a slightly newer prototype but looks the same from this angle.
