Jim Groeneweg says he'd been working on this Tonkin ProStar truck tractor since 2015. Modifications include A-Line and Athearn wheels in Alclad, a rear chassis from Herpa with full fenders over the lead drive axle, and a Boley interior and windshield from a 7600. The trailers are built from Walthers 48’ vans cut down to 30’ with sliding 72” spread axles sets; these are unique B-trains in that all trailers are lead units so they can be mixed around and not have to remain assigned sets. Fifth wheels were added as well as side doors and the whole unit is finished in authentic Home Hardware rattle can paint. The aerosol can was emptied into a small bottle so Jim could added an activator and spray it in his small touch up spray gun. Christie at Graphics On Demand made the decal sets for Jim.
