Here are photo of Michael Smith's fire convoy he has been working on for several years. He owes some inspiration to Chester Fesmire for his "Brush Fire Convoy" in Photo Galleries 192 and 193. The Dodge Power Wagon (above, right) is a Busch model with a custom tool box from a Roco fire trailer. The Roco 5 ton crane (above, center) has a Roco tire upgrade and extra detail parts; fire extinguisher, exhaust stack, vise, chain saws, shovels, and a portable pump in the bed. The tractor-trailer is a Roco 5 ton military tractor with Roco off-road tires, mirrors, exhaust stack, and Boley light bar. The lowboy trailer is from Norscot with Herpa wheels and custom wide load sign with scratchbuilt flags. The dozer is a First Gear fire dozer that has been dull coated (Michael says he hasn't had the heart to weather it yet). All decals (conspicuity stripes, fire logos, license plates, numbers) are Microscale.
