German Military WWII Mercedes Benz 3750 Truck & Trailer - By Rick Hoskinson

Rick Hoskinson built this German military WWII Mercedes Benz 3750 truck and trailer using a Wiking Mercedes Benz 2500 as the basis for this model. The cargo bed was swapped out with a larger modified Brekina MB4500 unit. The cab and hood were moved further forward between the fenders, the front bumper and headlights were removed, a new bumper was scratchbuilt with new headlights and a Notek driving light from Roco installed in their new location. Scratchbuilt full length running boards were added and tool and equipment boxes were hung from the bed underside. Jerry cans from Promotex were added as well as a jack, rolled tarp, shovel and pintle hitch from Roco. A lollipop mirror was scratched and added to the fender on the driver's side. The Trilex wheels are larger Wiking units required for the heavier truck. A-Line windshield wipers and MV Products tail light lens complete the details. The trailer was made from the discarded 2500 cargo bed using a cut down underframe from the flatbed trailer that came with the 2500 model. A new drawbar was constructed of strip styrene and a spare wheel and tire from the parts box completed the project. Paint is Model Masters Panzer Gray with a wash and dry pigments with art pencil highlighting. Decals are from TL.
