German modeler Günther Storch, who has provided extensive photo coverage of the Mo87.de Fulda Meets the past several years, sent us these photos of his model railroad layout showing a whole range of grain trucks waiting to get unloaded at an elevator in Alberta. Among some Lonestar Models Wilson grain trailers are a fleet of self-built grain tippers and grain hoppers, all poured in resin. Günther constructed the Canadian B-Trains from blueprints conforming to the legal length restrictions of Canadian truck laws. Some other trucks among the grain rush you may recognize from the past (Athearn Ford F-750) and there is another B-Train with tanks from the Trucks N' Stuff line shortened to legal length. The oilfield heavy bed truck barely visible in the foreground above is a Shapeways 3-D printing mounted on a Western Star 6900. Posted January 8, 2017 |
