This scene from Bill McKean's model railroad depicts some serious reflection
on the part of the fellow in the yellow hat. As Bill puts it, "The
freight agent at Lake Edna wonders how his "nimrod" [American
slang term for "not very intelligent"- webmaster] assistant
found the bucks for the down-payment on the new Dodge Ram Dually. His
red Chevy Crew Cab has served him well for some years and he expects
it to do so for a few more, at least."
The Dodge is a stock Ertl Dodge Ram 3500. The blue Escort Wagon is
a German import, and the Chevy began life as a dime-store monster truck,
but got ROCO dual wheels on a scratchbuilt chassis. The freight house
is a laser-cut kit by American Model Builders.
