The Swiss made Saurer 2DM 4x4 truck was offered in different configurations for service with the Swiss Army from 1964 up to 2009. This version has a flat bed, canvas cover, and hydraulic ramp. The cab will hold up to three people. On the 2.38yd x 4.48yd load area can be placed 8 pallets with total capacity of 4.5 tons. Jo Jucker took an Arwico model from a standard Swiss Army truck 2DM and modified it to a 2DM with hydraulic ramp and opened the cab and inserted the driver. Jo mounted a scratchbuilt flatbed with canvas and hydraulic ramp. He also converted the front axle to a steering axle. He also repainted everything new and added to the back, a winch wire rope.
