This model of an actual truck used in the 70s by the NYPD, an Emergency Service Unit, was built by John DaPos. John started with a cab he found on eBay and modified the grille and drilled out and added clear lenses for the headlights. The body, chassis and wheels are from Athearn and modified to fit. Many details and homemade decals were added. Krystal Clear was used for the windshield.
