Promoting Excellence in HO Scale Vehicle Modeling

1938 DeSoto, WWII Era International, & 1950 Chevrolet Pickup - By Kevin Shanahan & Phil Gazzano

These vehicles are sitting at the Rio Grande Southern (RGS) depot at Ophir Loop, Colorado circa 1950. They're part of Kevin Shanahan's HOn3 scale RGS model railroad layout. The red 1938 DeSoto (Sylvan resin model built and detailed by Kevin Shanahan) was owned by Vera and Randy Belisle. They ran the grocery and post office located in the depot. Randy drove the vintage WWII 4x4 International "radio truck" (the model is a kitbash from Busch, Roco, miscellaneous kits/parts, built by Phil Gazzano). It was fitted with a 1932 Ford cab and new bed at some point after coming to Ophir Loop. The 1950 Chevy pickup (Busch model built/detailed by Kevin Shanahan) is owned by a local fuel company. The figures are Preiser weathered/detailed by Kevin Shanahan).
