Russian modeler Sergey Zawislak built this outstanding model of a septic vacuum truck using a Boley (now Walthers SceneMaster) International 4300 cab that was repainted from flat yellow color to white and blue. The chassis was built from a shortened Herpa Mercedes Benz truck frame. mirrors are also from Herpa. The tank was acquired from a Wiking vacuum trailer. Almost all the holes in the tank body have been filled and puttied. The tank nipple, pipe valve, ladder, vacuum pump and filter, rear bumper, exhaust tube, fuel tank and cab steps are all scratchbuilt from plastic and wire. The hoses were made from thin solder and copper enameled wires. The tail lights are puttied and painted stainless steel frames from Lonestar Models. Marker lights were made by painting thin slice of plastic round rod. Decals are also homemade except for rear bumper safety stripe. Phil's Septic Pumping Service is a real Canadian company.
