Fred Gruin built this Strickland Freight System rig using a Athearn Mack R model cab mounted on a frame from the parts box with styrene bumper, Boley fuel tanks and steering axle wheels, Athearn battery box and fifth wheel, Promotex wheels on the tandems, and dual exhaust stacks made from aluminum tubing. The Walthers 42' trailer has Promotex wheels. Graphics on Demand decals were used on both units.
