Logging Operation Departs To Forest - By Peter Rabel

We're always encouraged when we receive photos along with an e-mail that begins with, "I was inspired by a photo in your Photo Gallery..." and it almost always has some very cool photos attached. One such e-mail we received recently was from Peter Rabel. Peter says he was inspired by the Photo of Kevin Shanahan's Komatsu 575 Super Dozer transport to the  mine site (Photo Gallery 516). Peter says he decided to create a transport of log loaders and equipment headed to the forest.

In the photo above is a Masterbilt Models Mack Granite resin cab from Truck Stop Models on a Herpa Mack CH613 chassis with fuel tanks from Promotex; the mirrors are a combination of Promotex Mack CH613 and Plano mirrors. The lowboy trailer is from Trucks N' Stuff with a laser cut wood deck added. The log loader is a repainted John Deere model from Siku with a log grapple from Herpa. The cab protection was made from a fly screen. The Kenworth T800 is a repainted Trucks N' Stuff model and the Chevrolet service body truck is from Trident.

Below there are three heavy haul truck tractors (Kenworth T800W from Trucks N' Stuff, Mack Granite from Truck Stop Models, Peterbilt 367 from Trucks N' Stuff) with lowboy trailers, all from Trucks N' Stuff. They are transporting logging equipment to the forest. Also shown are support vehicles: One International 1800 from Herpa loading a fuel tank from Roco, two Chevrolets from Trident, and one Hummer and one Dodge from Roco.
