Promoting Excellence in HO Scale Vehicle Modeling

Road Construction Equipment - By Trip Aiken, Wayne Calder, & John Ross

This scene on Trip Aiken's Route87 module is another collection of models built by Trip and other modelers. From top to bottom, the blue Peterbilt 389 flatbed truck was built by John Ross from a Trucks N' Stuff truck tractor with the sleeper removed. The Caterpillar tow tractor and water wagon were built by Wayne Calder using a Roco scraper tractor and a scratchbuilt tank trailer. Trip Aiken built the dozer from the very basic FMB-Unicorn resin kit with lots of upgrades and mods. Trip also built the Link-Belt excavator by stripping a Norscot Case excavator model and repainting it and using decals printed from his computer. The Case backhoe/loader is a stock Norscot model. Lastly, the service truck partially visible on the left edge of this photo was built by Dennis Raper. All were on display at the 2014 East Coast Meet in W. Springfield, MA.
