Here's a close-up view of Wade Roese's amazing Liebherr LTM 1500-8.1 600 ton hydraulic crane on display at the 2014 East Coast Meet. It was completely scratchbuilt by Wade Roese. The main boom measures a scale 276 ft. in a 7 section extendable main boom and 143 ft. luffing jib. Scratchbuilt in brass, the model required approximately 600 hours to complete, 625 individual pieces, 5 operating hoists or boom stabilizers, 4 steerable axles, extendable outriggers, swing out cab, and Nelson boom dolly; the actual model weighs in about four pounds.
