Mike Phalen recently acquired a 1:1 scale M923A1, Sergeant "J", and as with his previous truck (1984 Chevy C20 - Junkstar), Mike built a scale model of it. The photo at the bottom is of the Herpa M923 model; the tan one is stock (technically a M925) and the other is modified to match Mike's. The winch was removed, front frame shortened (M923 did not have a winch, the M925 did), replaced the wheels from the original 11:00 R20s to the newer 15.5/80R20 Super Single tires (a closer match to the 14R20's on Mike's prototype), removed the spare tire rack, removed the troop seat rails, and of course, painted it camo. Other photos are of the the "Junkstar" and model M923A1 on Mike's model railroad layout.
