This Eagle Mountain Mining Peterbilt 379 truck tractor and high capacity triple bottom dumps were built by Kevin Shanahan. Eagle Mountain Mining operates a division using Peterbilt 2 axle tractors pulling triple, high side, bottom dumps to haul lightweight processed coal, known as coke. These units, once loaded, are covered to maximize payload and minimize loss of payload due to air flow around the trailers. The high aluminum side boards create a high cube bottom dump trailer to maximize payload of the lightweight coke material. The single axle Peterbilt 379 truck tractor was built from a Classic Mint Collectibles (CMC) brass model converted into a two axle tractor from a drive tandem axle version. The wheelbase has been shortened to 185" and one of the dual exhaust stacks was removed to create a single stack unit. The trailers are from A-Line (originally Trucks N' Stuff) painted with Floquil Bright Silver with CMC aluminum wheels added to the trailers. The high trailer sides are scratchbuilt from styrene and the load covers are heavily modified tarp, crank and body assemblies from Lonestar Models' Wilson grain trailers. The figures are from Preiser, decals are Microscale and the tail light assemblies are from Lonestar Models. The access ladders and center side board angle braces are also from Lonestar Models Wilson grain trailers. The coke is medium grade HO scale coke from Arizona Rock & Mineral Company secured with Woodland Scenics Scenery Cement.
