Brockway 761 Snowplow - By Ralph Ratcliffe

Ralph Ratcliffe built this impressive plow truck using mostly parts from his Ralph Ratcliffe Models product line. The cab is Ralph's 761 Brockway resin cab kit mated with his 12' municipal dump body and salt spreader. The plow is one of his kits as well and the wheels, his 14.00x24 six spoke heavy duty wheelset. The fuel tank and battery box is also from Ralph's fuel tanks and battery box set from his catalog. The frame is a modified Mack DM-800 frame kit and the rear axle is an SW-65 walking beam bogie.

The graphic on the door is significant; the "Felix the Cat" is the emblem for U.S. Navy fighter squadron 31, the 'Tomcatters'. Since this truck is a 'snowfighter', Ralph thought the graphic was appropriate.
