Russian World War II JSll Tank - By Rick Hoskinson

Rick Hoskinson built this Russian World War II JSll Tank from a Heiser's Models resin kit. He removed and replaced the gun barrel and muzzle brake with a scratchbuilt styrene unit. Rick modified the barrel and mantlet so the gun would elevate and depress. Rick turned a brass barrel for the turret of the rear machine gun. He also added scratchbuilt lift hooks for turret, a tow cable from twisted fine copper wire showing a lot of stress, and added lift handles to the auxiliary fuel tanks and grab bars to the turret sides for tank riding troops. Mr. Surfacer 1000 was applied to the turret for that rough cast look. Rick added MV products lens to the headlight. The model was painted with Modelmasters enamel and weathered with pastel chalks, dry pigments, and art pencils. Finished with TL decals.
