C.B. Johnson Company 1956 Autocar DC10364S Truck Tractor - By Kevin Shanahan

This C.B. Johnson Company 1956 Autocar DC10364S truck tractor with Cummins 335 horsepower engine gets ready for a day's work around the derelict tram house at Ophir Loop, Colorado in the late '50s. The butterfly hood on this Autocar DC10364S tractor is open for routine engine maintenance. The rough rock road base is tough on tires, requiring frequent change out of the Dayton rims off the rugged six spoke off-road hubs. The Autocar trucks, tractors, dump bodies, converter dollies and dump trailers are all built from Alloy Forms white metal kits. The '50 Chevrolet pickup truck is from Busch. The D8 dozer was built from a GHQ white metal kit.
