This model dump truck is a 1/87 scale 1922 Kelly-Springfield of Springfield, Ohio. According to Randy, Kelly-Springfield built trucks between 1912 and 1928. The earlier Kelly-Springfield trucks had a sloping Renault-type hood with the radiator behind the hood. The model was constructed from scratch in October of 2005 using styrene, brass, and scale lumber. Features include a working dump mechanism, brass marker lanterns by Precision Scale, and a driver figure by Preiser. The model was painted with thinned down Humbrol enamels, and weathered with dry pigments and charcoal.
