Promoting Excellence in HO Scale Vehicle Modeling

Ford H900 & Livestock Doubles - By Thomas Lange

Thomas Lange says he immediately thought about the Ford H when he first saw the Athearn Ford C cab. Thomas used the base in the rear mudflaps of a Liaz model from Poland, added all the other things, closed the wheelhouses and front lights of the Athearn cab and painted it. The livestock trailer doubles are based on the Promotex livestock trailer. To quote Thomas, "When they presented it (the Promotex livestock trailer), I already had the outstanding Lonestar trailer. But I had pictures in mind with this double combination (one can't mention Hank's inspiring website often enough), so the Promotex basis was quite an economic alternative. By the way, I shortend the 45ft trailer from both ends to hide the cuts in the front end panel."
