Promoting Excellence in HO Scale Vehicle Modeling

Competition Tractor Puller - By Andy Burrow

Andy Burrow built this tractor puller from the chassis of a Cararama dustbin truck. 1:72 wheels were added at the back and 1:87 scale wheels at the front. The rollcage is a modified crash barrier from a Kibri trailer. A Cararama fuel tank was added along with a custom exhaust. The engines are from B.W. Models which are Leyland 145bhp 6 cylinder diesel engines. A peice of scrap plastic was used to make the coupling. The trailer started as a Schuco Unitas Tanker with the body removed as well as the neck of the trailer which was used as the blade at the front of the trailer. The pumping equipment/lockers were used as the ballast weight which run on tracks from a 1:87 Revell Ford car-transporter kit. A Kibri exhaust from a heavy haulage trailer were added at the back.
