Promoting Excellence in HO Scale Vehicle Modeling

City Fire Scene - By Tom Schroeder

Engine 10 is an IHC model reworked to enclose the crew cab area and added roll-up tool compartments on the left side and a deck gun behind the cab. Ladder 1 was constructed using a cab from a Boley Seagrave pumper mated with the rear of a Boley tanker. The aerial ladder itself was borrowed from a Boley Euro-style ladder truck. Tower 15 was built from the cab of an Emergency One rescue truck by Corgi and mated again with the rear chassis of a Boley tanker. The telescoping tower ladder was made from Plastruct products. The flames, smoke and water stream from the deck gun swere added to the pictures using the Corel Paint program. The firefighters were fashioned from Testors body putty. The hose is rubber string from old-fashioned paddle balls.
