Mack Granite Twin Steer Dump Truck - By Christophe Culis

Here's another look at Christophe Culis' great Granite twin steer dump truck. Christophe started with a Mack CH frame and extended it to fit the Granite cab and a 19 ft Lagacé style body dump (a popular body maker in Quebec for this type of application). He made the dump body himself using Evergreen styrene and added the mandatory tarp system. Adding the second steer axle in the front was quite time consuming. Since in reality the fuel tanks are relocated to the center of the chassis, he had to model the typical stainless steps (on both sides) that fill up the space between the two front axles. It was quite a job, indeed. The decals are from Ricks Decals. Also shown in Photo Galleries 276 and 278.
