This very detailed drag racing team (displayed at the Club's 1999 Portland convention) was built from a variety of available models that Richard modified (except the trailer). A Trident Chevy pickup and that ubiquitous cast metal Chevy toy pickup with dual tire fenders provided the basis for the tow vehicle. An extensively detailed Herpa Camaro [former Monogram Mini-Exacts] with scratchbuilt hood scoop, rear wing, wheelie-bar, and rear drag slicks comprise the racer. A completely scratchbuilt 32' trailer with opening side/rear doors and removable roof that is fully stocked for the races with scratchbuilt and commercial parts completes the package.
