Promoting Excellence in HO Scale Vehicle Modeling

Crossley Q Truck - By Daniel Vinay

Here's a very interesting model Daniel Vinay built for his collection. It's a military vehicle which is very typical of those produced during the war in 1943. It is a reproduction of a standard Crossley Q truck, manufactured in England under the most difficult conditions one can imagine. Aesthetic considerations were not the order of the day in those times and technical problems were resolved with an eye to economy. Thus, only one headlight, one rearview mirrors and a crank starter left over from days gone by. These vehicles of course served with the English Army, but one could also see them in France around 1948, in the first radar units of the air force.
