Promoting Excellence in HO Scale Vehicle Modeling

Renault Tank - By Daniel Vinay

Danle Vinay scratchbuilt this model of a Renault FT 17 Tank. The first light tank engaged in combat in l'Aisne in 1917, the FT 17 with its crew of two men, a pilot and a gunner, radically changed the concept of armored vehicles. Built after World War I in many countries, including the USA, the FT 17 was not abandoned until the 1940s. It is presented here in one of the multiple trial camouflage patterns used in the Champagne.
