This very nice model of a Mercedes 230 SL with closed soft top is a rebuilding is based on the early Wiking model. Jens began with only the body, all other parts were made by him or from the parts box. The windshield, for example, was a part of the Wiking Lincoln Continental. The soft top was made by using styrene sheets as was the chassis and bumpers. The steering wheel is a part of the Automobilia collection (photo-etched stainless steel) and the wheels were parts of a later S-Class Mercedes.
