Promoting Excellence in HO Scale Vehicle Modeling

O'Hare International Oshkosh T-3000 ARFF - By Christophe Lorin

Christophe Lorin tells us that a few weeks ago he found an old Preiser Kit that he built about twenty years ago. In Christophe's own words, "I am talking about the crash truck Faun FLF80/200. I wanted to own one of the Chicago FD crash truck because they use this kind of apparatus in case of gas station or gas tanker incident. So you can see one of these monster Truck running on Michigan Ave. without any surprise. So I decided to recycle my old Faun to a modern Oshkosh T3000 monster and you can see the result in the above photo. It took 6 hours of modifications and one more for the scratchbuild snozzle. The 655 is based at the O'Hare International Airport. So, do not forget the recycling day, that's very important."
