We would like to introduce Wayne Calder,
a fellow enthusiast of 1/87th vehicles of all types but especially automobiles
(race cars) and construction equipment. Wayne is a fantastic modeler
and, since I have personally seen his work, can say he is a fanatic about detail
on 1/87 automobiles. His prize winning entry at the 1998 Dallas convention
was a Kato Nissan 300ZX Turbo modeled
after the prototype Millen modified street version. Complete with photo-etched Automobilia wheels and brake rotors, Wayne modeled
the vehicle with one wheel removed exposing the brake rotor and scratchbuilt suspension members.
Bill Cawthon is our latest addition to our
stable of reviewers. Bill is managing editor of Model Railroad News magazine and frequently contributes news and information for
our New Products section on this web site.
Marc Schmidt is a German collector and modeler who has graciously offered his expertise on European models and does an excellent job of analyzing models in our scale coming from European manufacturers.
Wayne, along with Eric Moerbe (who has some of his modeling
displayed in the Photo Gallery 2 section)
and Wade Roese, are the product reviewers for the club's former newsletter. All
manufacturers are invited to send the club samples that they would like
reviewed on the club web site. If you have any
input or information that would be helpful to our reviewers, please
send your comments to [email protected]. |
