We would like to introduce Wayne Calder, a fellow enthusiast of 1/87th vehicles of all types but especially automobiles (race cars) and construction equipment. Wayne is a fantastic modeler and, since I have seen his work, can say he is a fanatic about detail on 1/87 automobiles. His prize winning entry at the 1998 Dallas convention was a Kato Nissan 300ZX Turbo modeled after the prototype Millen modified street version. Complete with photo-etched Automobilia wheels and brake rotors, Wayne modeled the vehicle with one wheel removed exposing the brake rotor and scratch built suspension members. Wayne is also the editor of the club newsletter. Bill Cawthon is latest addition to our stable of reviewers. Bill also writes a regular column for the Promotex Online web site and frequently contributes news and information for our New Products section on this web site. Wayne, along with Eric Moerbe (who has some of his modeling displayed in the Photo Gallery 2 section) and Wade Roese, are the product reviewers for the club newsletter. All manufacturers are invited to send the club samples that they would like reviewed in the newsletter or on the club web site. If you have any input or information that would be helpful to our reviewers, please send your comments to product-reviewer@1-87vehicles.org. |
