ASB Hobby Co., in addition to their own line of draglines, shovels, and trailers, is now distributing the Langley Miniature Models offerings from England. These are white metal models of construction,  farm, and vintage horse-drawn wagons with very good detail. Check their web site at www.asbhobby.com.

Automobilia has announced that they will be producing Transkits 1:87 to enhance certain existing models with etched stainless details. Detailing includes such items as wire wheels, dashboards, grilles, mirrors, rubber tires, steering wheels, windshield frames, windshield wipers, muffler tips, and decals (not all of these items are in every kit). Scheduled for summer 1999 release are kits for the Herpa Monte Carlo rally Mini Cooper, Wiking MG A, Busch Morgan +8, and the Busch Ferrari 250 GTO. Check the Automobilia web site, under "News", for additional information (available in the U.S. from Crescent Station).

C&D Models has several new items posted on their web site under "Catalog" and "HO Scale". These include a "pull along" type earth mover (item # HO7), street motorcycle (HO6), 5th wheel camper trailer (HO5), and assorted farm implements. Also listed are farm and equipment tires. Classic Construction Models has revised the release schedule of the last four pieces of their twelve piece set of Caterpillar models. The 953C is now scheduled for July 1999 delivery, the AP1055B is scheduled for September 1999, the 992G is scheduled for November 1999, and the 777D is scheduled for January 2000. Also announced is four additional models to follow the twelve piece set. They are scheduled to be the 797 in March 2000, 994 in June 2000, 5230 in September 2000, and the 24H with no delivery date given.

Herpa has announced (for July 1999 release) a new Carrier Transcold trailer refrigeration unit set (3 pieces) molded in white and black. From the Herpa web site, it appears this is different from the current Thermo-King offering. Check it out at the Herpa web site, under "New Releases" for "CARS-1999/07".

Model Power has announced that they will be producing a heavy duty tow truck based on their Kenworth T600 truck model. Expected delivery on the non-sleeper tow truck is early 2000.
